Recycled bicycles have been presented to exchange students at Yamaguchi University by the Yamaguchi Lions Club

On April 19 (Wed.), in front of the International Hall on Yoshida Campus, a recycled bicycle presentation ceremony was held for exchange students by the Yamaguchi Lions Club. The Yamaguchi Lions Club presents 10 recycled bicycles every year to exchange students at Yamaguchi University, as part of its volunteer activities.

At the ceremony, the chairman of the Yamaguchi Lions Club, Mr. Chimaki Nishitani, said, “We hope you will use these bicycles in your everyday life, and visit a variety places on days off. Please be very careful about traffic accidents, and enjoy your student life in Japan.”

Also, exchange student representative Dou Thi Van, a first-year student at the Graduate School of East Asian Studies, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I really appreciate getting a bicycle. I'm going to follow the traffic rules strictly, and want to have fun using it.”

After the ceremony, some students could be seen merrily going for test runs, and everyone was delighted that they were going to find student life more convenient from now on.
