China’s Jiaxing University Delegation Visits Yamaguchi University

On Thursday May 25, Ms. Yueshun Li, Deputy Director of International Relations Office, and Dr. Yongen Guo, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Studies, from China’s Jiaxing University paid a courtesy call on Vice President (International Cooperation) Fusanori Miura and discussed the future implementation of student and researcher exchanges with Yamaguchi University.

Located in Jiaxing City adjacent to Shanghai City in China, Jiaxing University currently has three professors who graduated from Yamaguchi University’s Graduate School of East Asian Studies.

During the meeting the visitors expressed their feelings that Yamaguchi University provides a livable and quiet environment for students to focus on their studies while ensuring a warm environment for international students to meet with many friendly and caring people. They also expressed their hope to promote the partnership with Yamaguchi University by starting with the faculty exchange, centering on the said three faculty members graduated from Yamaguchi University.       

In regard to the updates on Yamaguchi University, Vice President Miura provided them with the efforts such as the strengthening of the relationship with its former international students and enhancement of the risk management for inbound and outbound students, and a lively exchange of views was conducted between the two universities.

Yamaguchi University hopes that this visit will give an impetus to the advancement of the relationship and lead to the implementation of a student and researcher exchange between the two universities.
