Professor Shingo Yamaguchi of the Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation receives Best Paper Award in the international conference: IEEE ICCE-TW

During the 2019 IEEE 6th International Conference on Consumer Electronics Taiwan (IEEE ICCE-TW 2019), held on Monday, May 20 to Wednesday, May 22 2019 at the Evergreen Resort Hotel, Jiaosi, Professor Shingo Yamaguchi from the Department of Engineering, the Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation—Field of Information Science Engineering—received the Best Paper Award.

ICCE-TW is an international conference relating to the field of consumer electronic equipment, held by IEEE—the most renowned international academic society in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. This award was presented to authors of three excellent papers, selected out of 400 that were presented in this international meeting.

The title of the chosen paper for the award is "Modeling and Evaluation of IoT Worm with Lifespan and Secondary Infectivity by Agent-Oriented Petri Net PN2" (Author: Shingo Yamaguchi). The paper describes the development of effective bots that prevent cyberattacks from loT malware, of which an evaluation is made based on the net theory.
