SDGs Talk Show “SDGs in Yamaguchi: Current Status and Future Outlook”

Yamaguchi Prefecture JICA Desk and Yamaguchi University co-organized SDGs Talk Show “SDGs in Yamaguchi: Current Status and Future Outlook” on May 26th, 2021.

Designated Professor TOMIMOTO Ikufumi from the Faculty of Economics, Yamaguchi University delivered a lecture on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) and its current status and future outlook in Yamaguchi in this Talk Show. Prof. Tomimoto has been engaged in promotion of SDGs in Yamaguchi as his lifework, and contributes to production of SDGs Report of Yamaguchi University. He lectured simply but concretely what SDGs are and what kinds of activities are now implemented in Yamaguchi for achieving goals. The comparison among SDGs in the world, Japan and Yamaguchi was very interesting. Around thirty participants were impressed with power of SDGs fascinating people and changing the world. Around thirty people inside and outside of the campus participated in this event.
