Participate in online study abroad fair hosted by Study Japan Global Network Project Regional Office in Sub-Saharan Africa

Yamaguchi University (YU) participated in the online study abroad fair for the Sub-Saharan Africa region, which has been holding from August 3rd to September 10th ,2021. This study abroad fair is hosted by Hokkaido University, which is a consignment organization of the " Study Japan Global Network Project Regional Office in Sub-Saharan Africa " entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The event has been held in three separate period based on enrollment courses and fields. YU provided a presentation video of the Public Administration Course, Graduate School of Economics and held a group consultation on August 27th during the period, August 25th -27th, for those who plan to study at a graduate school in the field of humanities, social science and business and administration. 6 prospective students attend our group consultation from various countries such as Kenya and Ghana. Professor UMADA Tetsuji, Faculty of Economics and Mr.KAGAWA Satoru, Senior staff of Graduate School section answered questions about scholarships available to international students and the living condition of Yamaguchi.

 

As of August 1st, 2021, four international students from the Sub-Saharan Africa region have been studying in YU.

We hope that this study abroad fair will lead to increase the number of international students from the region.
