Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) concluded an international exchange agreement with the Faculty of<br \/>\n\t\t\tEngineering of Yamaguchi University (YU) in April 2020. The joint seminar was a part of the continuous activities between both sides. It was held online (Webex) with 64 participants from both universities.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tThe joint seminar began with congratulatory speeches by Professor Dr. Hiromori Tsutsumi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering from YU, followed by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Rosli Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic<br \/>\n\t\t\tEngineering from UTHM. After that, the opening remarks were given by co-chairs of the organizing committee Assistant Professor Dr. Mohd Anuaruddin Ahmadon of the Department of Information Engineering from YU, and Senior Lecturer Ts. Sharifah<br \/>\n\t\t\tSaon from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, UTHM.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tTwo faculty members from each university gave invited lectures, and six graduate students gave student presentations on the &#8220;Evolution of Computer and Communication Technology &#8221; theme. The invited lectures from YU were given by Professor Dr.<br \/>\n\t\t\tYoshinobu Tamura of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Associate Professor Dr. Masaru Fukushi of the Department of Information Engineering. Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Farhan Md. Fudzee from the Faculty of Computer<br \/>\n\t\t\tScience &amp; Information Technology and Associate Professor Dr. Khairun Nidzam Ramli from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering gave the invited lectures from UTHM. Six graduate students gave their research presentations in the<br \/>\n\t\t\tevening and had a very lively Q&amp;A session.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tThe seminar was closed with speeches from the Advisory Committee, Professor Dr. Shingo Yamaguchi from YU, and Associate Professor Dr. Abd Kadir Mahamad from UTHM.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tThe joint seminar served as an opportunity to promote future research exchange and create new joint research opportunities. This joint symposium was supported by the Faculty of Engineering, Yamaguchi University.
