{"id":838,"date":"2022-02-10T17:49:34","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T08:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ds27i1.cc.yamaguchi-u.ac.jp\/~www-yu\/english\/?page_id=838"},"modified":"2022-05-11T16:20:16","modified_gmt":"2022-05-11T07:20:16","slug":"registration_details","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ds27i1.cc.yamaguchi-u.ac.jp\/~www-yu\/english\/life\/immigration_procedures\/registration_details\/","title":{"rendered":"Changing your Registration Details"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Changing your Registration Details<\/h2>\n<h3>Changing Your Registration Details (other than address)<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isa.go.jp\/en\/index.html\"><span class=\"btn_bg_green sp_w_100\">Notification of a change in an item on the residence card (other than the address)<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ti_01\">If you change your name, nationality, period of stay, status of residence, passport number or any details other than your address that are recorded on your residence card, you must register these changes at City Hall within 14 days of the change.<\/p>\n<h3>You will need the following:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Notification of a Change in an Item on the Residence Card Form<\/li>\n<li>Photo (4cm\u00d73cm)<br \/>\n *Write your name on the back of the photo and glue it to the application.<br \/>\n *The photo must have been taken within the past 3 months. You may not wear a hat, and the photo should be clear with a plain background.<\/li>\n<li>Passport or documents that provide evidence of the change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Change of name due to marriage<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ti_01\">A passport with your changed name and a marriage certificate (A transcript of the family register if married to a Japanese national)<\/p>\n<h3>Change of nationality<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ti_01\">Passport for your newly gained nationality (If you still have the passport of your prior nationality, bring that as well)<\/p>\n<h3>Change in other areas or correction of a mistake on your residence card<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ti_01\">Passport, birth certificate, or any other legal documents that will help prove your change of name<\/p>\n<h3>Changing Your Address<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isa.go.jp\/en\/index.html\"><span class=\"btn_bg_green sp_w_100\">Notification on the change in address<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ti_01\">If you change address in Japan, you must register these changes at City Hall within 14 days of the change.<\/p>\n<h3>You will need the following:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Notification on Address Form<\/li>\n<li>Residence card<\/li>\n<li>Passport, birth certificate, or any other legal documents that will help prove your change of name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ti_01\">When you move into a new residence, you must turn in a moving-in notification to your new city&#8217;s City Hall within 14 days of moving.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ti_01\">If you move out from the city in which you presently are living, you need to submit a moving-out notification to the City Hall. When you decide the date when you will return to your country, turn in the moving-out notification to the City Hall.
