2024.12.07

On Sunday, December 1st, students from the Faculty of Global and Science Studies volunteered to help run the Christmas Market & Midwinter Chocolate Festival, which was held in the central shopping district of Yamaguchi City. A team led by Mr. Kenta Kawaguchi (4th year) from Dr. Hiroaki Sugino’s lab ran an experiential workshop to decorate a Christmas market in 3D.

Dr. Sugino’s workshop involved participants designing Christmas ornaments which were then scanned into 3D by a computer and printed on a 3D printer, allowing people of all ages to experience new science and technology through this hands-on experience. Many participants attended the event from the start time until just before it ended, and the workshop ended in great success.
