Yamaguchi Prefecture, Sompo Japan Insurance Inc., and Yamaguchi University will jointly offer “Social Innovation Xross,” a cross-boundary learning program that brings together students, local government, and corporations.

The program provides participants from different backgrounds with opportunities to learn beyond organizational boundaries and work collaboratively on social challenges.

Associate Professor Kazutoshi Sakaguchi of the Faculty of Global and Science Studies will supervise the program and facilitate these workshops.

After completing online sessions on cross-boundary learning, social issues, and design thinking, participants will take part in three workshops focusing on research and analysis, idea generation, prototyping, and testing.

Students who are interested in tackling social challenges through collaboration with people from different sectors are encouraged to apply.
