Laboratory Science
In modern medicine, advanced clinical laboratory tests, such as blood tests, ultrasonography, computed tomography, and cytology, are essential for accurately diagnosing diseases. Effective treatment can only be carried out after a correct diagnosis has been made; therefore, it is crucial to develop and widely distribute precise and specific examination methods.
This department offers a curriculum designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and technologies for their profession. It emphasizes the development of skills in evidence-based decision-making and problem-solving, while also improving English proficiency within the context of the advancing international medical field.
Graduates typically find employment in hospitals and laboratories, as well as with various pharmaceutical companies, life-science institutions, manufacturers of reagents and devices, and laboratory centers. Additionally, students in this department have the opportunity to earn licenses as cytologists and functional food consultants. Cytologists play a critical role in the early detection of cancer, while the functional food consultant license reflects a new professional designation that allows qualified individuals to assess food selection, safety, and management to promote health.
