Nursing Science
The Nursing Sciences program within the Master’s degree of the Health Science Department offers both basic/community nursing and clinical nursing sciences with a strong emphasis on education and research. Students have the opportunity to take courses to become Certified Nurse Specialists, including those focused on Critical Care and Oncology.
The curriculum addresses issues and concerns that postgraduate students encounter during their nursing practice, allowing for discussions about nursing practices from a scientific perspective through advanced lectures and seminars. This approach helps students enhance their research skills in nursing sciences, preparing them to write their master’s thesis.
The Doctoral Program encompasses community health nursing, advanced invasive care nursing, mother-child development and genetics nursing, as well as gerontological nursing. Research for doctoral theses builds upon the previous research activities of students. During their thesis presentations, students present their plans and progress to a panel of researchers, where they can receive valuable feedback and advice from professionals in the field.
Additionally, students collaborate with peers from the Laboratory Science Section, fostering exchanges among postgraduate students from various disciplines. The program provides numerous opportunities for students, faculty, and professionals involved in seminars and research, facilitating networking that is a significant benefit of studying at Yamaguchi University. We invite you to explore the true appeal of mastering nursing science here.
