RESEARCH
私の研究分野は国際関係史です。戦後の日本・米国・東南アジアの関係について、政財界の動きを中心に分析しています。研究手法は歴史史料の分析です。日米の機密解除文書を中心に、外交政策の最前線でどのような駆け引きが行われたのか、実証を目指しています。

Taku YASHIRO is a scholar who studies international relations history. He obtained an MPP degree from the University of Tokyo and began working as a consultant at Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. At the company, he was involved in developing industrial policies for Southeast Asian countries, and he obtained a Doctor of Laws degree from Hitotsubashi University. Since April 2018, he has been a member of the Faculty of Economics at Yamaguchi University, where he engages in research and teaching international politics. He analyzes post-war international relations between Japan, the United States, and Southeast Asia, focusing on the dynamics within political and business circles. His primary goal is to empirically demonstrate the actual negotiations that took place at the forefront of foreign policy by utilizing declassified Japanese and American historical records.
