In the Department of Physics and Informatics, all students are required to enroll in the basics of both physics and informatics as departmental common subjects until the first semester of the second year.\r\nStudents also learn general education subjects (English, Statistics, Introductory physical experiments, etc.)\r\nMain specialized subjects; Introduction to Physics and Informatics, Logical Thinking, Introductory Mathematics for Physics and Informatics I, II, III, Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Computer Programming Language\/Exercise I, II, Data Science Technology I, II<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n
Second semester of second year – second semester of third year<\/h3>\n

Starting from the second semester of the second year, students choose \u201cPhysics Course\u201d or \u201cInformatics Course\u201d, allowing them to delve deeper into specialized subjects. Of course, students are also welcome to take subjects from the other course if they wish.\r\nMain specialized subjects; \r\nDepartmental common subjects: Advanced Mathematics for Physics and Informatics I, II, III, IV, Numerical Analysis, Circuit Theory\r\nPhysics Course: Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, Materials Physics, Astrophysics, Theory of Relativity, Physics Experiments I, II, III\r\nInformatics Course: Information Theory, Formal Languages and Automaton, Data Structures and Algorithms, Signal and Image Processing, Seminar in Multimedia Processing, Practical Data Science, Multivariate Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n
Fourth year<\/h3>\n
During fourth and final year, students undertake in special research (graduation research) under the guidance of an instructor within or across courses.<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n
The results of special research are assembled and submitted as a graduation thesis.<\/p>\n
