Find a faculty member in your field of specialization through the Reserachers Database
Contact a faculty member in your field of specialization
E-mail the faculty member directly with your resume, research plan, and a copy of your Japanese Language Proficiency Test results.
Obtain informal consent from the faculty member
Email the faculty office or graduate school office to request Application Form
Prepare application documents and apply for admission through the faculty member four months prior to your desired admission date
Prepare application documents and apply for admission through the faculty member by the date which the faculty office designate
Obtain a certificate proving you are permitted admission to Yamaguchi University (Admission Permit)
Apply for the issuance of Authorization of Resident Eligibility
*This certificte is necessary to obtain a visa. Yamaguchi Univesrity will carry out the applicationby proxy.

Apply for a student visa
*Upon receipt of the Authorization of Resident Eligibility, please submit it to Embassy of Japan or Japanese Consulate General.

Attend Yamaguchi University (April 1 or October 1)
