About Submission Documents for Students

1.Application for participation in this program

(Submission Deadline: Tuesday, November 14, 2023 15:00 (Japan time);Place of submission : Student　→　Admissions Faculty Member（YU）→　Educational Affairs Section (YU))

[Documents for the Confirmation of Eligibility Requirements]

①. Application Form(English) ※The program duration does not include travel times or private travel.

②. Transcript of academic record(PDF format) (PDF scans are acceptable)

※If a GPA on the JASSO cannot be provided, please provide written statements (any format) that prove grades were exemplary and equivalent to a GPA on the JASSO of 2.30.

③. Copy of Passport (the page with an identification photograph)

2.Before coming to Japan

(Submission Deadline: Please submit as soon as possible after acceptance; Place of submission: Student　→　Admissions Faculty Member（YU）→　Educational Affairs Section (YU))

①.Certificate of Student Status (PDF format)

②. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

③. Letter of Recommendation from the Head of the Department

④. Copy of air ticket

If corrections are required, Please submit the modified documents to Admissions Faculty Member as soon as possible.

3. During the program

The students give signature on confirmation of residence and accept scholaship money. (Location: International Student Center)
※The student should give signature on confirmation of residence every 31-day period, and scholarship money should be handed to the student in cash (80,000 yen). The confirmation date for residency will be determined after set the admission duration and will be informed by Educational Affairs Section.
The students pay rental/housing fees in cash at the Office of Finance and Management. ※The office of Finance and management inform you about your invoice amount beforehead.
※Invoice Amount (rent) = Rent (including electricity, heating, and water) – Rent Assistance (10,000 yen per person)
※Rent sabsidy (10,000 yen per person) is only for residents who lives in private apartments provided by YU.
※If you need the invoice and receipt in English,please inform the Office of Finance and Management beforehand.

4.Before Leaving Japan

(Leaving period : Students discuss with real estate agent )

Recover the rental property to its former condition (same as befor you live) and have inspection of the real estate agent.
If the rental property cannot be recoverd to its former condition, you may pay for cleaning/restoration.

5. After leaving Japan

The students submit Completion Report of Academic Year 2023-2024 JASSO Student Exchange Support Program (Short-term Study in Japan) (Submission Deadline: 2 weeks after return ; Place of submission: Student　→　　Admissions Faculty Member（YU）→　Educational Affairs Section (YU))
