Information for Prospective Students

Admissions Policy

1. We seek applicants who aim to be leading professionals with a high level of expertise in fields related to East Asia.
2. We evaluate candidates for admission who have a deep respect for and understanding of the regional characteristics of East Asia.
3. We are particularly interested in strongly motivated, creative students who possess a high degree of competency to carry out independent research based on their predetermined plans.

【In-Person Requests 】Please visit the Graduate School Office of the Faculty of Economics. (Business Hours: Weekdays 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

【By Mail】 To request by mail, please send a prepaid return envelope (size A4 compatible) with a 320-yen stamp affixed, clearly marked with your postal code, address, and name, along with a note stating “Request for East Asian Studies Graduate Program Application Guidelines” to the address below.

Form

We can provide screening of prospective applicants prior to their travel to Japan, in the applicant’s home country. Application forms are available for download here.
