ニュージーランド・ワイカト大学との英語観光セミナーを開催しました

　11月6日、本学の研究提携校であるニュージーランド・ワイカト大学マネジメントスクール（経営学部）より、Dr. Vijay Kumar先生をお迎えし、「Learning Sustainable Tourism and Life Abroad-From New Zealand and Australia」をテーマに観光英語セミナーを開催しました。

　当日は、西尾ゼミの学生だけでなく、国際総合科学部の学生や公共管理学専攻の大学院生、さらにバングラデシュやネパールからの留学生も参加し、国際的でにぎやかな雰囲気となりました。 セミナー後半の学生セッションでは、観光政策学科4年生の斎藤環太さんが発表。続くディスカッションでは、学生をはじめ、観光政策学科の朝水先生、ぺルラキ先生も交えて意見が活発に交わされました。

　観光政策学科では、今後もこのような、“英語で学び、世界とつながる” 実践的な国際交流の場を学生に提供していきたいと考えています。（観光政策学科　西尾建）

Tourism Seminar with the University of Waikato

On November 6, the Department of Tourism Policy held a Student Seminar in English, inviting Dr. Vijay Kumar from the Waikato　Management School of the University of Waikato, New Zealand, our academic partner since 2019. The seminar was titled “Learning Sustainable Tourism and Life Abroad – From New Zealand and Australia.”

Students from the Nishio Seminar, the Faculty of Global and Science Studies, graduate students from the Public Management Program, and international students from Bangladesh and Nepal also joined, creating a vibrant and international atmosphere.　In the second half, Mr. Kanta Saito (4th-year student) gave a presentation, followed by an active discussion with students, Professor Asamizu, Dr. Denes Peruraki, and international participants.

The Department of Tourism Policy will continue to offer opportunities for students to learn in English and connect with the world.
