What kind of students are our department looking for? －Diploma Policy

1. Students with a strong interest in geoscience and wish to have a career in this field in the future.
2. Students with deep interest in a wide range of fields, including sociology, history, and economy to investigate the truths of natural science.
3. Independent learners with the mentality and flexibility to face a new field.

Graduation policy (GP)

Our department follows the graduation policy (GP) of Yamaguchi University, regarding matters of education philosophy, and human development through the education, and qualifications as alumni.
In addition, Department of Geosphere Sciences offers two courses: the Regional Environmental Science Course (accredited by Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education: JABEE), and the Environmental Materials Science Course. These courses have their own specific GP and educational objectives.
