Physics is a historically significant field and serves as the foundation for all natural sciences. In contrast, informatics is a relatively new discipline established in the 20th century and underpins modern technology. Physics and Informatics are not independent fields; state-of-the-art information technology unveils the mysteries of physics, while the knowledge of physics drives innovations in informatics. The Department of Physics and Informatics offers opportunities to study both physics and informatics, as well as the interdisciplinary fusion of these fields.
