[TOPICS]Study in Japan online seminar hosted by Embassy of Japan in Myanmar
On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Professor Takashi HYODO, Chairman of the Public Administration Program Committee, Graduate School of Economics, Yamaguchi University, attended the event, “Online Study-in-Japan Seminar” hosted by the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar. He made a presentation of an introduction of the Faculty of Economics and Graduate School of Economics, Yamaguchi University.
The seminar was held in collaboration with the Okayama University Study-in-Japan Information Center, which has become the domestic base for the Southeast Asia region of the MEXT’s (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s) “Global Network Project to Promote Study in Japan,” and was part of a session introducing Japanese schools held during a study abroad consultation meeting organized by the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar.
More than 40 Myanmar students and others attended the seminar and they seemed to be particularly interested in the English-language curriculum offered by the Graduate School and the pre-departure entrance examination. At the end of the session, students and parents asked a wide range of questions regarding available areas of study and application procedures, indicating the high level of their interest in studying in Japan.
