国際理解教育選修における国際協同プロジェクト
International Collaboration Project within the Course for Education for Intercultural Awareness
国際理解教育選修では、隔年で「国際体験実習」（集中講義）という講義（二年生と三年生が参加）を実施しています。本年度は開講年度になり、2026年3月5日から16日まで、東南アジアのベトナムとラオスを訪問する予定です。
Every other year, the course for Education for Intercultural Awareness organizes an intensive course called the International Experience Practicum for second and third-year students. This year we will be visiting Vietnam and Laos from March 5th to 16th.
この実習では、海外の大学とワークショップを共同で開催します。ベトナムでは、ベトナム国家大学ハノイ校（Vietnam National University, Hanoi）人文社会科学大学東洋学部日本研究学科（University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Japanese Studies）（以下、VNU-USSH）、ラオスではラオス国立大学（National University of Laos、以下、NUL）文学部日本語学科と協同します。このワークショップの準備は、両大学の学生が中心となり、オンラインでの打ち合わせを重ねながら進めています。
During our time abroad, we will hold workshops in collaboration with overseas universities. In Vietnam, we will visit the Department of Japanese Studies in the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (hereinafter VNU-USSH) for a cultural exchange workshop, and in Laos, we will be holding a similar workshop with the students in the Department of Japanese Language, in the Faculty of Letters at the National University of Laos (hereinafter NUL). Yamaguchi University students have been taking the lead in preparing for these workshops through a series of online meetings with their counterparts in Vietnam and Laos.
異文化学習において、自身の慣れ親しんだ世界とは異なる文化や価値観を持った人たちと交流する、さらには共に何かを作り上げることは座学で得られる以上の学びがあります。もちろん、座学と実習は共に重要です。実習とは、大学の講義で得た知識や理解を省察する機会でもあり、相乗的な効果をもたらします。そして学びと同時に、このような機会自体は「楽しい」ものです。
In cross-cultural learning, the process of interacting with people who have different cultural backgrounds and different cultural values, and creating something together with them, provides learning opportunities that exceed what can be gained through lectures alone. Of course, both classroom lectures and practical application are important. Practical experience offers an opportunity to reflect on the knowledge and understanding gained in lectures, creating a synergistic effect. Furthermore, alongside the learning process, such experiences are inherently enjoyable.
本実習は、大学とのワークショップだけではなく、現地の小学校での授業実践、歴史文化遺産や平和学習施設への訪問、など、他にも多くの学び機会を用意してあります。
In addition to the cultural exchange workshops, we will be holding at the two universities, the Yamaguchi University students will also have many other learning opportunities, such as teaching classes at elementary schools in Vietnam and Laos and visiting historical sites and peace education facilities.

さて、教員としては、山大の学生が実際に現地で「仲間」と共に、学び豊かで楽しいワークショップが開催できるよう陰ながら支援したいと思います。
As a teacher, I am looking forward to supporting our students from behind the scenes in order to help them prepare workshops which will be both educational and enjoyable, as they work hand-in-hand with their new friends overseas.
